How Axekin Works — A Clarification

No file — whether a ZIP, RAR, or anything else — ever passes through our infrastructure. Axekin has no upload pipeline, no file storage, and no content delivery mechanism of any kind.

OAuth login lets you save a library, post reviews, submit requests, and link RetroAchievements. It does not change our hosting model: we still do not store or serve game files.

Everything stored in our system falls into one of three categories:

• Descriptive game data — names, summaries, genres, platform details, and release dates.
• Visual assets like box art and in-game screenshots, kept strictly for catalogue identification.
• Outbound links pointing to third-party platforms where files may be found.

When someone follows a download link from our site, they leave Axekin entirely and interact with an external service we have no connection to. Nothing flows from our servers during that process.

We have no copy of any file and therefore nothing to remove from our servers. The only place a file can be deleted is on the platform that actually holds it.

Upon receiving a properly filed DMCA notice, we will remove the listing and strip the related links from our database. The content will no longer surface through Axekin — however, the file itself remains wherever it was hosted. For a complete takedown, the request must be sent to that hosting provider.

Every download link on Axekin leads to an independent platform we have no relationship with and no authority over. We make no guarantee about what you will find there, and we bear no legal responsibility for the files, their availability, or their legality.
